The village

Cóbdar is a sleepy pueblo for most of the year with only approximately 250 residents. However, come August (the traditional Spanish holiday season including the local fiesta week) it comes alive with colour, noise and fun as returning families and visitors swell the population to nearly a thousand.
Due to recent road improvements the village is easily accessible and proves to be a delightful retreat from the more developed areas. There are 2 restaurants and, although you will have to enquire as to their whereabouts, 3 well stocked shops and a pharmacy. In the summer their swimming pool opens en Cóbdar also boasts an artists studio with small gallery and a photography gallery.
